PREPARING FOR THE NEXT TEN YEARS
Over a decade of time, the Ashwaubenon Performing Arts Center (ASHPAC) has welcomed more than 400,000 people through its doors and is preparing to welcome many more. As activity at the venue has grown, the Center now experiences an average of 60,000 attendees and performers through the space each year. It is truly inspiring to see how enthusiastically the community has embraced the venue, making it a vibrant cultural hub.
With nearly 3,000 performances, rehearsals, and other school and community events and gatherings occurring since its opening, the Center’s theater, lobby, dressing rooms, and equipment have been well used and loved. Just as many of you have updated cell phones, televisions, tablets, e-readers, smart lights and speakers at home over the past decade, the ASHPAC is planning to do the same.
Advancements in technology and equipment are constantly occurring. In the consumer world, Apple alone has released 46 different iPhone models since 2016! In the world of live entertainment, new lighting control boards and sound mixing desks are available, and stage light and speaker options have diversified and improved. And, just like living in a new house, we’ve come to better understand the space’s existing great features as well as several “wish we-hads”.
All that is to say, the Ashwaubenon Performing Arts Center is, and has been, an exceptional asset to our community, and we are making plans to keep it that way.
From the start, our success has been built on a foundation of collaboration and generosity, and we are profoundly grateful to the businesses and individuals who have and continue to provide ongoing support for our programming, operations, and future vision.
