Colin LeMoine, Wicked and Hadestown tour cast member, will meet with N.E.W. Theater Collaborative students as they prepare for their production of Hadestown: Teen Edition
ASHWAUBENON, Wis. – Earlier this month the Northeast Wisconsin (N.E.W.) Theater Collaborative between Studio 12 and the Ashwaubenon Performing Arts Center was announced, and that newly formed partnership has already attracted the attention of one touring Broadway actor.
Colin LeMoine, originally of greater Green Bay, has performed with the national Broadway tours of Hello, Dolly!, Wicked, and Hadestown. After learning that the regional students of the N.E.W. Theater Collective would be presenting Hadestown: Teen Edition at the Ashwaubenon Performing Arts Center this August, LeMoine connected with the Center’s Executive Director, Kate Williams.
While LeMoine’s schedule is limited before returning to his home in New York, he offered his time and expertise to the youth cast and crew of a show title he’s very familiar with. As swing and understudy for Orpheus in the 1st National Tour of Broadway’s Hadestown, LeMoine will share stories of his experiences with the show and pass along some training from the original choreography used in the national production.
“An opportunity like this that allows students to learn directly from someone in the Broadway touring industry doesn’t happen every day. This experience goes above and beyond what the kids are learning locally, and lets them envision a future in the performing arts as adults” said Williams, who organized the workshop.
LeMoine will meet with N.E.W. Theater Collaborative students at the Ashwaubenon Performing Arts Center on Friday, June 27 from 5:30 PM for approximately one hour.
Public performances of HADESTOWN: TEEN EDITION will be held at the Ashwaubenon Performing Arts Center, 2391 S Ridge Rd, Ashwaubenon, WI on August 7 and 8 at 7:00PM, and August 9 and 10 at 2:00 PM, 2025.
