Led by acclaimed music director Shawn Postell, the Cornerstone Jazz Orchestra boasts some of the top musicians in Northeast Wisconsin. Postell, who founded the ensemble in 2018, has decades of experience as a performer, arranger, and educator. His career includes founding the Bay City Swing big band, leading the Green Bay Packers Band, serving as music director for the Fox Cities PAC’s Center Stage Awards, and performing with national artists such as Lee Greenwood, Roberta Flack, Aaron Neville, and others.

Joining Postell and his orchestra are The Divas, three standout vocalists whose résumés span Broadway, regional theater, and stages across the country:

Kelsey Denae, a Green Bay native and Ashwaubenon High School graduate, has called New York City home for the past decade. She’s performed not only in the city, but regional theatres, touring companies, and international waters as well. Her professional credits include the Broadway National Tour of Les Misérables, Next to Normal, 9 to 5, and RENT, as well as film roles such as Neon Boys.

Corrie Beula Kovacs, a graduate of Millikin University with a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre, has earned two Broadway tour credits and has performed in musicals, dramatic and comedic plays, and television
commercials during a career centered in New York City. She now shares her performance expertise with the Fox Cities community through Show How Studio.

Emily Terrell Paulsen, a UW-Green Bay Theatre-Performance graduate, has been a leading performer with Let Me Be Frank Productions at the historic Meyer Theatre since 2008. Her stage roles include Eva Perón in Evita and Pennywise in Urinetown the Musical, the latter of which earned her an Irene Ryan Acting Award nomination.
