The George Kress Foundation Virtual Series: FREE EVENTS March 25 – June 30!

The George Kress Foundation Virtual Series consists of seven performances, presented and previously recorded by national and international touring artists, that can be enjoyed remotely on a variety of electronic devices and in an environment of one’s choosing.
Performances run Thursday, March 25, 2021 through Wednesday, June 30, 2021. Each production will be available for viewing for a two-week period of time, run approximately one to two hours in length, and the Ashwaubenon Performing Arts Center is offering viewing access to each free of charge. Donations are welcome.

Donations of $50 or more will be entered into a drawing for tickets to select shows in the upcoming season. Donations are not required to enjoy the virtual series. However, any and all support is welcome.

Virtual Series Schedule
The Red Hot Chilli Pipers | March 25 – April 7
It’s Bagpipes. It’s Rock. It’s Bagrock. It’s The Red Hot Chilli Pipers – (NOT the Peppers!) – the most famous Celtic Rock band on the planet. The Chillis feature a high-octane ensemble of pipers, guitarists, keyboards, and drummers who have been rocking the world with musicianship of the highest order and a passion for pipes that will leave you breathless. Their legions of fans include over 375,000 Facebook followers and multi-millions of YouTube viewers.

GO NOW! The Music of the Moody Blues | April 8
– April 21
Inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2019, the Moody Blues sold an amazing 70 million albums…however, they are no longer touring as a band. Gordy Marshall, the Moodys’ drummer for 25 years, knew there was a hunger for this magical music to continue so he created GO NOW! as the authentic tribute to the group.

The Great DuBois: Masters of Variety | April 22
– May 5
Introducing the world’s most unique two-person circus starring two extraordinary performers who were featured in the blockbuster film “The Greatest Showman” with Hugh Jackman (stunt doubling for Zendaya & Zac Efron). In their fast-paced theatrical show, Michael DuBois and Viktoria Grimmy perform incredible feats of aerial, contortion, juggling, hula hoops, unicycle, circus stunts, magic and audience interaction (all wrapped up in a blanket of comedy.

Naturally 7 | May 6 – May 19
It’s not often that a group of vocalists can BLOW YOU AWAY…but Naturally 7 will. Naturally 7 performs a mix of Pop, Rock, and R&B tunes while stunningly recreating the sound of a full band (using just their voices). Because of this, they have been dubbed as “The Human Instruments.” Enjoy this fully-produced concert special filmed live in Berlin, Germany.

The Hit Men | May 20 – June 2
Relive Rock’s greatest hits with The Hit Men — the real guys who performed with legendary artists including members of Foreigner, Journey, Styx, The Hooters, Steely Dan, Cheap Trick, The Rascals, Alan Parsons, 3 Dog Night, Cream, Grand Funk, and The Who. This virtual event features concert footage from a sold out March 2020 performance interspersed with band interviews from this brilliant group (who were the recipients of the first-ever Musicians Hall of Fame and MuseumTM Road Warrior Award).

Mojo & The Bayou Gypsies | June 3 – June 16
An all-original American Roots concert with music and stories in the Louisiana Bayou-tradition at its BEST! Few performers can lift an audience like Mojo, star of the Bayou Gypsies, performing all original Louisiana music with bits of Zydeco, Cajun and New Orleans two-steps plus rock and roll and blues rhythms. Mojo combines the styles in a gleeful gumbo he calls “red hot mojo music.”

Lee Rocker of the Stray Cats | June 17 – June 30
The co-founder of the multi-platinum, Grammy nominated STRAY CATS (a phenomenon of 80’s & 90’s Rockabilly-revival music) performs with his own all-star band at the world renowned Daryl’s House (owned by Daryl Hall of Hall & Oates). Be transported back to the early days of MTV and New Wave hearing hits like “Sexy and Seventeen,” “Built for Speed,” “Stray Cat Strut” and “Rock This Town.” Plus, Lee also performs other hit songs he wrote/performed post-Stray Cats with music legends from Ringo Starr to George Harrison and John Fogerty and The Rolling Stones.
