The legendary group will bring timeless doo-wop and R&B hits to the Ashwaubenon Performing Arts Center
The Drifters, one of rock and roll’s pioneering vocal groups, are bringing a night of nostalgia and unforgettable melodies to the Ashwaubenon Performing Arts Center on Saturday, Feb. 10 at 7:30 PM.
Renowned for their soulful harmonies and captivating stage presence, The Drifters are enchanting audiences once again by touring with their original management team. Their long list of hits is more than a concert; it’s a journey through the golden era of rhythm and blues. Concertgoers will hear a setlist packed with five decades of classics, including hits like Up on the Roof, Under the Boardwalk, This Magic Moment, There Goes My Baby, Dance With Me, Spanish Harlem, and the timeless Stand by Me. The high-energy show blends these hits, stretching back almost to the birth of rock and roll, with The Drifters’ distinctive take on hits from the 1970s and 1980s.
The impact of The Drifters on contemporary music cannot be overstated. They were the first musical group to sell 2 million records, and their iconic track Under the Boardwalk holds the distinction of being the most played R&B disc of all time. Breaking barriers, The Drifters made history as the first African American vocal group to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and their legacy is further cemented by Rolling Stone magazine, which ranks them among the greatest artists of all time.
Tickets to The Drifters start at $44 and can be purchased online at ashwaubenonpac.org or by calling (920) 494-3401.
The concert is proudly sponsored by Woodside Senior Communities and is a part of the Ashwaubenon P.A.C.’s Touring Series.
