Faithful renditions of band’s rocking classics will have fans feeling ‘Alive Again’

A high-energy homage to legendary rock band Chicago is coming to the Ashwaubenon Performing Arts Center Friday, March 27, at 7:30 p.m.
Alive Again: A Tribute to Chicago delivers a one-of-a-kind sound through passionate vocals and harmonies, classic piano riffs, electrifying guitar solos, and a three-piece horn section. Consisting of 11 seasoned and talented musicians from the Midwest, Alive Again is uniformly dedicated to maintaining the instrumentation, spirit, and jazz-rock of Chicago.
In the 1960s, while most rock bands were limited to guitars, bass, and drums, Chicago revolutionized the industry by including horns in their music. Bearing the self-proclaimed label of “rock ‘n’ roll with horns,” the band quickly rose to fame and became one of the most successful and long-lasting rock groups in history. Boasting more than 100 million records sold, Chicago has had five consecutive number-one albums on the Billboard 200 and 20 top-ten singles on the Billboard Hot 100. Six decades later, their classic hits and power ballads remain a radio staple, helping to create multiple generations of Chicago fans.
Those attending an Alive Again show are treated to the nostalgia of Chicago’s music, complete with chart-topping hits like “Saturday in the Park,” “Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?,” “Feelin’ Stronger Every Day,” “25 or 6 to 4,” and, of course, “Alive Again.” Close your eyes for a minute and you might forget you’re at a concert and not listening to vintage vinyl on your home stereo system!
Alive Again: A Tribute to Chicago is sponsored by Ideal Air and presented as part of ASHPAC’s Kroll’s West Regional Series.
