Public invited to attend free event at Ashwaubenon Performing Arts Center
Parents, caregivers, educators, and community members are invited to attend Digital Safety & The Dangers of Sextortion on Monday, October 5, 2026, at 5:30 PM at the Ashwaubenon Performing Arts Center. The event is offered free to the public and is being promoted through a collaborative effort among the School Districts of Ashwaubenon, De Pere, Green Bay, Howard Suamico, Pulaski, West De Pere, and community partners.
The program will focus on current digital safety concerns affecting youth and families, including online exploitation, sextortion prevention, responsible technology use, and practical strategies for keeping children safe online. Featured speaker John DeMay will also share his family’s story following the online exploitation and sextortion of his son, Jordan, and provide practical guidance to help families recognize warning signs.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early. While there is no admission charge or ticket requirement, seating is limited to approximately 730 attendees and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. The event is expected to have a run time of two hours.
