Top John Denver Tribute Artist Performing Oct. 16 at Ashwaubenon PAC

Take Me Home: The Music of John Denver, starring Jim Curry, will be coming to the Ashwaubenon Performing Arts Center (APAC) on Saturday, October 16 at 7:30PM as part of its Brodhagen Dental Care Touring Series.

Curry bears an uncanny resemblance and ability to recreate the characteristic sound of Denver, the singer-songwriter of international acclaim who also became known as an actor, environmentalist, and humanitarian. Curry will have the audience feeling like there’s sunshine on their shoulders with an entertaining walk down memory lane. The one-of-a-kind musical and visual experience includes uplifting hits like “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” “Annie’s Song,” and “Thank God I’m a Country Boy.” The show covers the iconic artist’s hits from Denver’s 1962 beginnings through the last song he composed in 1997, “Yellowstone, Coming Home.”

Curry, whose voice was featured in the CBS-TV movie Take Me Home: The John Denver Story, has performed at sold-out shows across the country and emerged as today’s top performer of the country legend’s trove of multi-platinum hits. Over the years, Curry has also been joined on stage with former band members of Denver.

At the APAC show, Curry will be accompanied by his wife, Anne Curry (vocals, guitar, mandolin), Diane Ireland (flute) and Chris Wills (vocals and keyboard).

Though Curry’s tone and range are similar to Denver’s, he is not an impersonator and performs his own take on these classic hits.

Tickets to Take Me Home: The Music of John Denver start at $29 and go on sale Tuesday, August 31. To purchase tickets or view the full 2021-2022 APAC Performing Arts Season, visit ashwaubenonpac.org  or call (920) 494-3401.
