Barnyard animals protest working conditions through song and dance in down-home musical ‘Click, Clack, Moo’
The George F. Kress Foundation Family Series continues at the Ashwaubenon Performing Arts Center (PAC) with Click, Clack, Moo on Saturday, February 8 at 2 p.m.
Sponsored by Prevea Health, Click, Clack, Moo is a barnyard story like you’ve never “herd” before. Presented by Theatreworks USA, New York, the musical illustrates what happens when Farmer Brown declares his farm a “tech-free zone” and impounds his granddaughter’s laptop in a cold barn. Shivering cows “hoof it” over to the laptop, typing out requests for blankets.
After being denied by Farmer Brown, the cows and chickens unite in peaceful protest to improve their working conditions: “No blankets: no milk, no eggs.”
Adapted from the award-winning children’s book by Doreen Cronin and Betsy Lewin, Click, Clack, Moo is a hilariously “moooo-ving musical” teaching audiences about negotiation and compromise.
Tickets for Click, Clack, Moo are $20, with subscriber and group discounts available. To purchase or learn more about this or other upcoming events, visit ashwaubenonpac.org or call (920) 494-3401.
Please note: This live theatre production is recommended for children in grades K-4 and their families. Approximate running time is 60 minutes. Show content addresses themes of standing up for your beliefs, conflict resolution, cooperation, communication beyond language, farming, responsibility and family.
