“The Waiting” is over for Tom Petty fans in the Green Bay area! The Ashwaubenon Performing Arts Center is hosting “Listen to Her Heart: The Tom Petty Experience” on March 1, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. In town for just one night, the performance features the timeless music of a true rock legend.
Formed by a group of Atlanta musicians deeply devoted to Tom Petty’s musical legacy, “Listen to her Heart” has quickly earned acclaim for faithfully recreating the musician’s signature sound and high-energy live performances. From “Free Fallin'” to “American Girl,” audiences can expect an evening filled with Tom Petty’s classic tunes lovingly reproduced with meticulous attention to detail.
Growing up in Gainesville, Florida, Tom Petty’s interest in music started at a young age after a chance encounter with Elvis Presley on a movie set. As an adult, Tom Petty rose to fame as the frontman of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers (1976-1987), a group enshrined in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001. Following his time with the Heartbreakers, Tom Petty enjoyed a successful solo career that lasted until 2017. Over the course of his musical journey, he penned nearly 90 songs and sold tens of millions of records.
“Listen to Her Heart: The Tom Petty Experience” takes audiences on a trip down memory lane as Tom Petty’s music is brought to life on stage. The performance skillfully recaptures his signature guitar riffs, soaring harmonies, and heartfelt lyrics, delivering an unforgettable evening honoring the legacy of one of the greatest musicians of our time.
