Singer Tina Naponelli to bring iconic singer-songwriter’s emotive stage presence to life in April 29 performance
Fans of beloved songstress Carole King will feel the earth move under their feet when the Ashwaubenon Performing Arts Center proudly presents Tapestry Unraveled: The Music of Carole King on Saturday, April 29 at 7:30 p.m.
The captivating performance is anchored by singer Tina Naponelli, whose powerful and soulful voice captures the true essence of the Queen of Pop. With impeccable attention to detail, Naponelli delivers a unique and unforgettable experience that covers the entirety of King’s more than 40-year career.
Carole King first found success in the 1960s, co-writing over two dozen charting singles. In the 70s, she embarked on her career as a performer, singing her own songs and accompanying herself on piano. Her breakthrough album, “Tapestry,” stayed on the best-seller charts for six years, selling an estimated 30 million copies worldwide. Arguably the most successful female singer-songwriter of the latter half of the 20th century, King wrote or co-wrote 118 pop hits on the Billboard Hot 100. Her songs have been recorded by more than a thousand artists, with hundreds becoming hits of their own.
Audiences at Tapestry Unraveled will be taken back in time by Naponelli’s faithful renditions of songs that include “Feel the Earth Move,” “Chains,” “You’ve Got a Friend,” and many more. Accompanied by a bold five-piece band, Naponelli has the perfect look and voice to pay proper tribute to this musical icon.
The upcoming performance is proudly sponsored by Dolly’s Manure Fund and presented as part of the Ashwaubenon PAC’s Brodhagen Dental Care Touring Series.
Tickets to Tapestry Unraveled: The Music of Carole King are $37 and can be purchased online at ashwaubenonpac.org or by calling (920) 494-3401.
